Marty Kooman is a forward-thinking and experienced wealth manager leading an elite team of accomplished and caring professionals at Kooman & Associates, Inc., an Independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm in central PA. He is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner with 35 years experience helping individuals and families transform their wealth to achieve their life goals.

As an independent financial planning professional, Marty maintains long-term relationships by guiding the client experience toward "total solution" strategies for wealth management, retirement income planning, estate planning and life transitioning. Marty believes this holistic process helps clients view their financial goals in a larger context - It's more about their lives and how they want to use their wealth to reflect their personal values and preferences.

Marty has built one of the most respected firms within Raymond James Financial Services, and has achieved the Raymond James' Chairman's Council in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008, an exclusive group of the firm's top 1% of advisors, for outstanding growth and commitment to client service. He was selected to the Winner's Circle 2006 by Research Magazine as one of PA's top financial advisors.

Very active in his community, Marty recently completed three terms (9 years) of service on the Board of Trustees for Mount Aloysius College. He is past president of the Altoona Rotary Club, and the Altoona Symphony, and served as general chair for the Altoona -Johnstown Diocese Annual Campaign. He is an Endowment Committee member at St. Rose of Lima parish.

Marty is an 8 year participant in The Strategic Coach®, a results-driven professional development series for successful entrepreneurs. He is pursuing a Masters in Finance at The American College, in Bryn Mawr, PA. His undergraduate degree is in Finance from West Virginia University. He has been a Certified Financial Planner® since 1987, and currently holds Series, 7, 24, 63 and 65 professional licenses.

Marty is in demand as a presenter at financial workshops and advisory panels, and is a media contact on financial issues. He is a sailor, is very interested in photography, and loves to travel. He and his wife, Barbara have twins; Michael, in Bayonne NJ, and Kate, in Washington, D.C.
